About Dr. Prickett
Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Philip Prickett is originally from St. Matthews, SC ,and is the son of Mackie and Jackie Prickett. He completed his undergraduate training at the University of South Carolina in Columbia in 1987. After earning his D.M.D. degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston in 1991, he began a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Following a one year's residency in ambulatory and general anesthesia and a second year of general surgery rotations, Dr. Prickett completed his final two years of oral and maxillofacial surgery and trauma training at the University of Louisville in Kentucky.. He completed his residency in June of 1995. In, July 1995, he opened a practice specializing and oral and maxillofacial surgery in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina .
Dr. Prickett is a member of the South Carolina Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the South Carolina Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons
Dr. Prickett has extensive training in facial trauma and corrective jaw surgery. He has a special-interest in outpatient anesthesia, dental implants, and wisdom teeth removal.

Dr. Prickett and his wife Courtney reside in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. They have three children, John Philip, Mary, and Carolyn. His hobbies include his family, boating, water activities, shrimping, sports, and the beach.
